More about this specific variety:

Butterfly ranunculus have long stems, and have quite a different look from your typically gorgeous ranunculus with an open center. The delicate, yet long-lasting, petals of Ariadne have the perfect ombre coloring, fading from the darker pink centers to blush and cream edges. Each stem gives a spray of five to seven flowers. As with all butterfly ranunculus, the soft pink petals have a shimmery look due to the natural wax finish and will last up to two weeks once cut and brought inside your home. As they age, the color softens before they lose their petals.

These cut flowers are the perfect addition to your spring flower bouquets. If you’ve never experienced these beautiful, Japanese-bred ranunculus you have to try some in your cut flower garden. You can plant the corms (specific name for this type of “bulb”) in either fall or spring in Utah this fall and spring to enjoy both in the landscape and your favorite vase.
